8th Salute to Pantomime
The 8th Salute to Pantomime took place on Saturday 28th March 2009 at Winstanley Community College, Braunstone Town. The awards were presented by Jo Fox, Chairman of Blaby District Council and the compere for the evening was Martin Ballard from BBC Radio Leicester and Dame in the record breaking pantomime at Loughborough Town Hall. The nominees and winners for each category are below.

Winner: ELAPS with 'Jack and the Beanstalk'
2nd place: Markfield and Thornton Theatre Group with 'Humpty Dumpty'
3rd place: Youth Theatre Market Harborough with 'Dick Whittington'
